We were talking with some neighboars who live up near the end of the stairway on Harrison (above Rutlidge) and they were commenting on all the gang activity that takes place after dark on those stairs.

But the thing that shocked us was hearing that several times in the last six months, they've walked down Harrison and seen a string of car break-ins, smashed windows, cars burglarized.

If you notice gang activity or tagging in that area, please call Ingleside Police Station at 404-4000 immediately. The community really needs to make sure that the gang activity on the stairway and surrounding streets stops as soon as possible.

Also, if you car does get broken into, please file a police report. We are not seeing these break-ins reported in the police log, and if they cops don't know about it they won't be looking out for it as much.

Precita and Mission:
Officers Joseph Kavanagh and Rommel Baldovino were called to the Precita and Mission area on a report of two suspects committing graffiti offenses on vehicles and buildings in the area. The officers located the suspects on Coso. The suspects were in the act of vandalizing another vehicle and were in possession of graffiti markers. The suspects, who live in Palo Alto and the 2500 block of Bryant, were cited for malicious mischief. Case #070198970
