Burglary on Ripley, Saturday Night

September 13th, Saturday Night, 10 pm, 100 block of Ripley St. Residential Burglary

On Ripley, between Folsom and Alabama. Occurred between noon and 9:45 pm. Entry via bathroom window using victims' ladder. Gym bag, MP3 player and cash taken.

Handgun arrest at Precita & Alabama

Possession of Loaded Handgun

A man brandished a pistol and threatened his girlfriend. Witnesses reported the incident and Officer Campion-Healy and Officer Etcheveste found the gunman nearby. They searched the man and recovered the pistol. The 25 year old OMI District resident was booked into the County Jail on five felony charges. Case 080975746

Strong Arm Robbery

A 30 year old Bernal Heights man was approached by another man who threatened him with an unknown object and demanded his belongings. The robber pushed the victim to the ground and took a bag containing a wallet, iPod, and cell phone from him. The robber was described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, standing 5'7", weighing 160 pounds, having gold front upper teeth, last seen wearing dark clothes with a hooded sweatshirt.

Armed Robbery at Folsom & Stoneman

September 9th, 9 pm Folsom St. & Stoneman Ave. Armed Robbery: Gun

A 26 year old Bernal Heights man was approached at a bus stop by a man with a gun. The gunman pointed a silver revolver at the victim's head and demanded money. The perpetrator took the victim's wallet and iPod and fled on foot. The robber was described as a black male, 22 to 28 years old, standing 6' tall, weighing 155 pounds, black dreadlocks, last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.

Community Meeting in Response to Mission District Killings

There were 7 (SEVEN!) killings last week in the Mission, all within 10 blocks of Precita Valley. There is a community meeting tonight you may want to attend:

Mission Community Council, SFPD meeting of residents, nonprofits and religious groups on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Mission Recreation Center. Mission Recreation Center 2450 Harrison St @ 20th & 21st . Please use the 745 Treat St entrance (between 20th & 21st).

Sunday Sept 7th: Peace March on 24th - Stop the Violence in the Mission

Please join us for a candle light peace march on 24th St.
Sunday Sept 07, 2008.

Hosted by Mission Education Project Inc. and the Lower 24th St.
Merchant & Neighborhood Association

We will meet at 24th and Treat at 6:30 PM. The March will begin at 7 PM and head down 24th towards Potrero Ave to Utah and head back up to Treat and 24th, walk down Treat to 23rd and back~and head towards Mission and 24th and back ending at 24th and Treat.

Please bring candles, some will be provided.

Everyone is welcomed, bring your family, friends, and neighbors.

We are asking all merchants along 24th St. to close business from
7 to 8 PM
