Tree Planting in Bernal Heights 1/17/09
The Friends of the Urban Forest is scheduling an urban tree planting on Jan 17th, and if neighborhood residents want to participate, they need to respond by Dec 10th, so not a lot of time to get more folks signed up. This planting is primarily focused on the western side of the hill, but there are plans for another one on the lower north slope later in the year.
It’s easy! All you have to do is send in your application forms, attend the community meeting on December 10th, 6:30 pm at Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center @ 515 Cortland, select your species – and water your new tree! Planting is 1/17/2009!
Please contact your Neighborhood Organizer: Anna Marjavi, 505-9016 or annaroll6 - at - hotmail.com
to sign up for a tree. Forms are also available at www.fuf.net, 561-6890.
