Precita Valley Neighbors March 2008 Meeting Summary

David Alumbaugh, the Planning Dept’s Cesar Chavez Traffic Calming Planner heard our concerns regarding the proposed ICI commercial paint store lease of the old Hollywood Video Store. The Planning Commission later rejected the lease, in support of the neighborhood.
Precita Area Crime Update
Great response from the Ingleside Station – thanks Captain O’Leary and officers!
Solar Picnic May 10th from 10-3pm in Precita Park. SolarCity, District 9’s Aggregate Solar Vendor has committed to providing SOLAR PANELS TO LIGHT THE CHILDRENS’ PLAYGROUND IN PRECITA PARK! Matching funds for installation and additional equipment will be requested through Prop B matching Funds.
Our next meeting is SATURDAY, APRIL 5th at 10 am at Charlie’s to plan and provide flyer routes for flyering the neighborhood about the Solar Picnic.
