Police Foot Patrols on Mission Street
Not exactly Precita Valley specific, but many residents travel on Mission every day. During the holiday season, to help reduce crime and make shopping safer, SFPD will be doing "Footbeats":
SFPD Footbeats start on Friday, November 24, 2006 seven days a week. Officers Carmen Walsh, Wayman Young, Vincent Pedrini and Armann Ramoso will be working 4:00 pm to 2:00 am on Mission Street from Cesar Chavez to Richland. Officers Gerald Thompson, Maria Alvarado, Carla Lee and Andrea Calahane will be working 11:00 am to 9:00 pm on Mission Street from Silver to Geneva.
